Donahoo`s Golden Chicken in Pomona

Fried chicken and French fries. And sides. That's it. If you do one thing good you should stick to that. That's what Donahoo's does. Things you should know Take out only. Cash only. They recently got an atm machine but be prepared with cash It can take 10-15 minutes if they are busy so you can call ahead. Remember they close at 7:30 every day

ThIs place is just no holds barred awesomeness. Best chicken period. Best fries and the bread rolls are the greatest. Drive all the way from south OC just to eat here it's that good.

Awesome "hole in the wall" chicken place with chicken that will knock your socks off with old skool flavor and potatoes that are awesome and make it a meal!! Would drive out of my way just to go there in fact I have.....more than once!! Its worth the stop if you like chicken !!

My first time visiting. The wait was a little but it was cooked to order. Definately worth the wait. Normally i do not order Gizzards that night I did. It was a very good choice along with the 10 piece chicken and the sides. My family was very pleased with the meal.

This review is primarily focused on the chicken alone. Which is worth all five stars, however the customer service here is really bad.It's not even like taco bell bad it's like going over to someone's house that you weren't invited to. You'll have to read all menus and know exactly what you want while having cash in hand.Chicken is good though but I dread interacting with the workers.

Got the family meal, 10 piece. I don't know how this was possible, but I was able to get my order in less than 2 minutes of waiting which was awesome! The chicken is extremely crispy and fries are really soft on the inside. The rolls smell delicious and the sides are good. However, the rolls do become cold and hard after some time. The only thing I would say they can improve on would be the seasoning of the chicken.

They aight! Had the 3 PC. Special small side orders nice size pieces of chicken dark meat. The slaw and mashed potatoes are cool. Need more gravy on that mash and some pepper in the slaw but not bad. But small size of slaw. Chicken has salt but lacking any other flavors that I can detect. Should have gotten some hot sauce which may have made it better. Chicken was greasy not too bad tho. They fried it right but was not hott when I got mine which was bout 2 minutes after I ordered suspected it was cooked a while before I got there and thinking it may have been better if it was fresh. May stop by again may not but definitely had better chicken at some chinese food spots and these cats is asian. Idk give it a try if you like fried chicken and you may have a better experience than I did.

I went in I ordered the 9 piece strips dinner she asked me what sides I wanted and I asked for two mashed potatoes and gravy I say to go and they taped my box all over so when you get home an hour later you dont don't know what's missing they refused to give me

Our first time here but it was a really great experience and we will be coming back soon. Food was great and tasteful with great service and price are very reasonable....👍👍

I usually go here and get the 20 piece chicken strip box it comes with four sides of your choosing a medium sized box of mashed potatoes and for dinner biscuits it is well worth $32 you just got to try to get here early the only downfall why I won't give it 5 stars is the fact that the area that it's located in there's a bunch of homeless people and they do have a tendency of bothering you but the food is absolutely amazing also asked for the chili paste and mix it with Ranch thank me later

There's a reason I've been a loyal patron for over 20 years! The fried chicken is always so juicy and now you can select a dipping sauce. Usually and in and out kind of spot but it doesn't hurt to order ahead! Don't forget to tip!!

Small to go only chicken place. I always stop by if I passed by the area. The combo choices are quite a few. Prices are reasonable. They always closed early so call first to make sure they're open before going there. They have their own parking spaces on the side. The surroundings look ok but not suggested to stop by too late.

I'm rating this a 3 because I was expecting the same taste as from the other location even the potaoes are different. They need to add more seasoning other than that the chicken is alright doesn't compare but still good.

This place has been in Pomona way before I was born and used to pass by with my Tío y Tía. Finally was brought to try it a few years back. Awesome chicken. And fries! Great service.

I am certain my father brought me to Donahoo's when I was a little pequeno. In fact, it may be the first take out / fast food restaurant I ever ate at. I can't think of what else that might be other than Orange Julius? Great fried chicken in a big box full of french fries and sides as well. In all honesty, Donahoo's would be my #1 choice in the IE for delicious fried chicken!

A 9 piece chicken strip that comes with fries, bread, choice of side and sauce. Is far too good for 1 person. This can feed up to 3 people! They only accept cash unfortunately, but their service is quick and simple. Food comes in fresh and hot. The pricing isn't too bad, but has a simple selection also.

The chicken here is.... Ok. Nothing to make me want to come back. Plus be sure to bring cash because they do not accept otherwise.

The 4 Piece Mix is a lot of food. Two meals. Taste great! CASH ONLY but they have a cash machine.

This place is loved pretty much by my whole family. I however don't really care for the food, the chicken is so light and crispy but there is not really any flavor, the macaroni salad, or potato salad is ok. The place is a good price! I would give this place s try if you like this kind of food. The place isn't much at all to look at but since I'm the only one that doesn't like it, you might want to give it a go!

Been coming for years. I like the strip/chicken combo. 20 piece is $40+ but worth it if you appreciate good fried chicken. Every location tastes a little different but all of them are hands down the best chicken spots in the area.
